Kristie Kenney, the US Ambassador to Thailand, has once again earned her place amongst the world’s most social media-savvy diplomats. In an attempt to celebrate the upcoming Songkran Festival, the US Embassy has produced a short video clip, featuring the ambassador.
The video starts with Kenney, in a flowery pink shirt, throwing water from a silver bowl to her staff before playing a ukulele and enjoying a marlstone treat. Near the end of the one-and-a-half minute film, Kenney pulls out a poster that read “Two Nations, One Friendship. 180 Years,” thus highlighting that this year marks the 180th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the US and Thailand.
Earlier this year, the Embassy released two videos – one in celebration of New Year’s Day, the other piggybacking on the Harlem Shake trend. Check out the video below to see if it lives up to its predecessors:
