Thong Lor police officer wanted for cruel rape of Laotian worker

At 1pm yesterday, a Thong Lor police officer suspected of a brutal rape fled the Thong Lor station right before Samut Prakan investigators raided his workplace to execute an arrest warrant against him.

Police went on the hunt for Pol Sub Lt Thatree Suebsaman, 53, after Nattanan Wongpracharat, a 32-year-old noodle vendor, brought a Laotian worker in her employ to file a complaint with Samut Prakan police. Nattanan accused Thatree of raping and detaining the victim from 6pm on April 20 to 10am in the next morning.

According to Nation Channel, the rapist, who was working his second-shift job as a taxi driver, picked up the victim and her boyfriend from the Phutthamonthon area to Rayong province. Thatree later chased off her boyfriend and took the victim to an apartment in Samut Prakan, where he handcuffed and harassed her all night.

In the morning, Thatree threatened her with death and handed her a paper on which his name and phone number were written, evidence that was later handed over to police.
