Miss Ketamine to face drug test tomorrow

Kwanjai Khempradab, the Miss Maxim beauty contestant who was caught on video teaching a local three-year-old boy to take ketamine, will face a thorough drug test tomorrow.

The boy, whose mother is a bar girl, will be sent back to Nakhon Sawan to be taken care of by his grandmother.

During a press conference with police honcho and former Bangkok governor candidate Pongsapat Pongcharoen at the Office of the Narcotics Control Board yesterday, Kwanjai, aka Roxy Maxim, begged for forgiveness from the public, insisting that she has stayed clean for over six years and that her substance offer to the boy was acted just for fun.

The 20-year-old Maxim model earlier attended an interrogation with the panel of representatives from the Office of the Narcotics Control Board, Thanyarak Institute on Drug Abuse and the Ministry of Human Development and Social Security.

Despite the negative results shown in the initial drug test, she is obliged to be admitted to a rehabilitation center soon. Regarding the boy’s wellbeing, the panel discussed numerous options and decided to send him away with his grandmother for better upbringing, citing his mother’s profession as a bar girl.

Kwanjai, however, will not face computer-related crime charges for she did not originally share the clip. Police will track down the first person that leaked the inappropriate content to the mainstream online community. If found guilty, the wrongdoer will face a five-year prison sentence and a less than THB100,000 fine. Netizens, who share, like or upload a copy of the clip, will be subject to the similar punishment as well.
