Water monitor lizard invades Thai Parliament House

This morning, lawmakers, who came to work at the Parliament House of Thailand, were startled to see a water monitor lizard crawling in an air duct on the building’s ceiling.

Parliamentary officials reportedly called officers from the nearby Dusit Zoo to help capture the lizard and release it into the wild. However, increased attention only caused the monitor lizard to become skittish, thereby foiling the officer’s attempts to restrain it.

As of this time, the lizard is still stuck on the ceiling.
