A Facebook campaign using the image of Guy Fawkes to express opposition to the ” Thaksin regime” has gone viral overnight, severely angering the Pheu Thai Party.
“The people’s army has risen and it will root out the Thaksin regime from the country” is the campaign’s primary slogan, which has been reposted multiple times across Facebook.
Posts and messages have flooded the Pheu Tahi Party and its associates. Prompong Nopparit, Pheu Thai spokesman, said last Sunday that the online campaign is unethical and psychologically disturbed. Threatening to take legal action against the Facebook users, he announced that he would meet with the party’s legal team on Monday, the Bangkok Post reported.
