Thailand’s Instagram scene is massive. In fact, last year two spots in Bangkok – Suvarnabhumi Airport and Siam Paragon – ranked first and second on the list of the most-Instagrammed locations in the world.
This year, the popularity of Instagram has gained momentum, with countless filtered images flowing through the photo-sharing application everyday. Interactions, or even dramas, among Instagrammers are promoted through the ‘like’ button and comment function.
Right now, three Thai Instagram users have managed to accrue over one million followers, half that of US President Barack Obama and one-fourth of R&B singer Beyoncé. Many more stars are en route to joining such online elite status.
