Carabao frontman Yuenyong Opakul, aka “Aed Carabao,” recently joined forces with Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok in a battle to defend ownership rights to its Uthen Thawai campus.

The land conflict between Chulalongkorn University and Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok has lingered for years, as both parties claim full rights to the 21-rai estate on which the Uthen Thawai campus sits.

Aed Carabao, an Uthen Thawai alumnus, told MThai that the university had long been the legal owner of the land, dating all the way back to the administration of Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram, who was in office from 1938 to 1944. The change in ownership made during that time created a battle between the two educational institutions, which has lasted until the present.
