5 great Thai fashion brands you can only find online

With Bangkok’s 8.4 million and growing Facebook users, it’s no wonder fashionable entrepreneurs are taking advantage of the social network to sell their wears. These are five of our favorite Thai fashion brands you can only find online:

Cabbage

This brand flaunts the feminine aesthetic with organza, sheer chiffon and embroidery. Designer, Mutita ‘Pakkad’ Soralump, who graduated from ESMOD International Paris and previously worked as a fashion designer at Senada, is inspired by Audry Hepbrn. Flowy blouses in black, white and nude are very wearable. Sheer black A-line dresses are for those special breakfasts at Tiffany’s.

Janesuda

Order a piece from the eponymous label by Janesuda Parnto via Facebook and maybe you’ll be able to look as good as this actress and former MTV VJ. A quest for the perfect T-shirt was her inspiration, and the result is dresses, tank tops and t-shirts in classic colors that look as flattering as they are comfy. The floor-length, backless White Night Dress is already a favorite of Janesuda’s dara pals.

Mo & Friends

This Thai brand is all about playful prints and trendy cuts. Dresses, rompers, jumpsuits and separates in bright colors and whimsical patterns can all be ordered via their Facebook store. The brand was founded in 2009 and has since gained a loyal following of 106,000 people. They’ve even expanded their online presence to shoppable magazine Symbols of Style.

My Winter White

Ok, this is cheating a little because this cute-as-hell shoe brand stocks a few pairs offline at Tutti, in Marketplace Thonglor, but for the full line you need to go online. University students from Silapakorn University started this shoe brand using their artistic talents and a keen sense of what looks good on feet. They’ve developed a line of premium quality loafers and oxfords in traditional browns and blacks and more preppy pastels. Look for styles with unique cutouts that double as air conditioners for the feet.

Onion

This shop specializing in vintage sunglasses and accessories will surely stand the test of time, despite being part of the now defunct Siam Vintage. New products are just updated and ordered via Facebook for now but it looks like Onion will be expanding to a new location shortly. If you’re sick of the typical mirrored lens, or just want your face to stand out from the crowd, browse their newsfeed for curated looks that are (bonus!) very affordable.
