Thailand’s biggest Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) organization, DARE Fight Sports, has announced MMA’s first live show in Bangkok since the sport was banned in March last year by the Sports Authority of Thailand.
“Rebels of MMA” will feature seven professional MMA fights and the event will be the first time that spectators will get to see some of DARE’S new signings in the flesh.
Ole “Iron Fist” Laursen has a strong record; he has beaten ONE FC’s Eduard Folayang and Jian Kai Chee and he has also fought Buakaw at K-1. Shane “Ronin” Wiggand has returned to fight as a lightweight.
Two Russian fighters, Rasul Mirzaev and Murad “The Strangler” Machaev, have also been signed up to compete at the event.
“Rebels of MMA” will take place live at an as yet unknown location in Bangkok on October 12.
