Drunk man rescued after getting head stuck in phone booth

A hapless drunk somehow managed to get his head stuck in a telephone booth at Soi Jamnien bus stop in Bangkok.

Songsak Jareonchai, 56, said he took refuge from a rainstorm in the telephone booth to prevent himself from catching a cold.

Songsak, who had been drinking, said that when he awoke he found himself stuck under the booth. After calling out for help, police came to his aid eventually unscrewing the booth from the ground to free his head.

Songsak said he came to Bangkok to look for a job, but decided to drink because he couldn’t get himself hired, MThai reported.
