Red Bull heir’s hit-and-run case forwarded to prosecutors

Deputy metropolitan police chief Anuchai Lekbamrung announced earlier today that the reckless driving case against Red Bull heir Vorayudh Yoovidhya had been forwarded to prosecutors.

Having collected evidence against Vorayuth, police will now turn that evidence over to prosecutors who will decide whether or not to indict.

The Bangkok Post reports that Vorayuth, the grandson of Red Bull founder Chaleo Yoovidhya, was originally implicated in a hit-and-run accident on Sept. 3 of last year. According to witnesses, Vorayuth crashed his car into Pol Snr Sgt Maj Wichian Klanprasert, killing the officer and dragging his down the road for some distance.

Police originally accused Vorayuth of drunk driving and performing a hit-and-run.
