Commuters on the BTS Silom Line were left waiting at Ratchadamri Station for almost half an hour as the train service suffered technical difficulties.
The Silom Line malfunctioned during rush hour from approximately from 7-8pm. Passengers on the line heading toward Talat Phlu Station were forced to get off at Ratchadamri Station and wait for a new car due to technical problems. This of course led to many angry comments on social media.

According to a Coconuts reader who was on her way from Thong Lo to Saphan Taksin, the interchange at Siam Station was absolutely packed with humans and its escalator did not work. She had to make an unexpected stop at Ratchadamri Station for another 20 minutes, as opposed to 10 minutes announced by the BTS staff, before getting back on and finally disembarking at her destination.
