Photo Essay: The street art of Bangkok

I love traveling to the different parts of Thailand and taking pictures, but it wasn’t until just recently that I realized I was missing a major part of the cultural landscape here in Bangkok. I ride the BTS a lot and pass Ratchatewi daily, and was always curious about this one spot filled with street art that looked like an old NBA Jam court. I went to check it out with my camera one day, and kept on finding more art around and behind buildings. From there it became a consistent search for new spots where artists were spicing up the walls of the city. Siam Square in particular is a great place to find a lot of art, tucked away in almost every corner. This quest helps me remember that we are all awesomely creative people and that art can be found anywhere if you keep your eyes open. What I find particularly intriguing about this kind of art is that it’s only temporary, so I like the idea of being able to immortalize it in this way.
