ISA in effect in three Bangkok districts

Citing concerns over ongoing anti-government protests and tomorrow’s arrival of Chinese Premiere Li Keqiang, Thai authorities have imposed the Internal Security Act in three districts of the capital.

Effective immediately until Oct. 18, the security measures were announced by Deputy Prime Minister Pracha Promnok to take effect in Dusit, Phra Nakorn, and Pom Prap Sattru Phai.

The police have closed Phitsanulok Road from Panitchayakarn intersection to Miksawan intersection in Dusit. Netizens are advised to avoid the route, Sanook reported.
