Speedy Relief: Tweaker arrested for donating meth to temple (VIDEO)

Moved by the plight of his countrymen, Jakarerk Mukpradep, 39, decided it was time to step up and give what he could to help those affected by the floods.

It was a simple plan. Jakakerk, himself a successful man of commerce, donated some of his valuable product to a relief center in Chonburi, where he hoped it could be resold for much-needed cash. Unfortunately for him, police took issue with his generous contribution: 11 pills of methamphetamine, or yaba.

“I want to do good deeds and help people,” he said. Apparently a believer in the benefits of what by most accounts is a vile, illegal drug, Jakakerk added his own testimonial: “I took five yaba pills before coming here.”

During times of crisis, people often find unique ways to help. Last week’s donation of expensive crocodile tail meat proved quite welcome indeed.

In this case however, police arrested Jakakerk, who they said was clearly high at the time.

Among the entrepreneur’s possessions police said they also found a homemade pistol and five bullets.

The suspect admitted to previous arrests in Rayong on drug charges, police said, and claims he’d been a drug courier there for more than three yeats, Bangkok Post reported.

Undiminished by his sudden legal entanglement, Jakakerk seemed to maintain his high spirits in this video posted to YouTube by SpringNews TV:
