Bangkok flooded by pipe leak

As if the unyielding downpour wasn’t enough, an envious water pipe decided to get in on the action and ruin many morning commutes.

Streets in Bangkok’s Ratchathewi district were flooded when a water main was accidentally cracked open by construction work near the Rachaprarop airport link rail station, snarling already miserable traffic.

During an excavation to install electrical conduit under the ground, workers accidentally broke the water pipe near, releasing a large amount of water onto the ground.

The water flooded several roads, footpaths and buildings nearby, paralyzing traffic on major commuter arteries such as Ratchaprarop, Jathiratit, Sri Ayutthaya and Rama IX roads, Kapook reported.
