It’s towing time: Bangkok Police begin 10 Roads Project

Bangkok police started towing illegally-parked cars at their owners’ expense today as part of the “10 Roads Project.”

The project is being implemented under the jurisdiction of 32 police stations and on 10 Bangkok roads, Sanook reported. Drivers will face fines and the inconvenience of having their cars towed.

Today Springnews reported three cars have been towed off the roads this morning.

Here are the are the 10 roads where cars will be towed:

1.               Vibhavadi- Rangsit

2.               Lat Prao (from Happy Land – Lat Prao intersection)

3.               Ratchada (from Prachanukul intersection – Rama IX intersection)

4.               Paholyothin (from the Victory Monument – Kaset Nawamin)

5.               Ramkhamhang

6.               Petchburi

7.               Sukhumvit-Ploen Chit-Rama I area (from Bang Na – Pong Praram intersections)

8.               Rama IV (from Hua Lam Pong intersection to Rama IV intersection)

9.               Sathorn

10.             Ratchadamnern Klang

Fines:

1.               Four wheelers: THB500 fine + THB200 per day for impound

2.               Six wheelers: THB700 fine + THB300 per day for impound

3.               Ten wheelers: THB1,000 fine + THB500 per day for impound
