The wait is over. Sephora, a French cosmetic retailer with more than 1,500 shops in 28 countries around the world, will open a flagship store in Bangkok at the newly renovated Siam Center this December.
In keeping with Sephora’s world standard, 80 percent of its products will be Sephora-branded, while the other 20 percent will introduce other international cosmetics brands stocking Thai shelves for the first time.
Victoria’s Secret Beauty & Accessories has also agreed to debut its first store at Siam Center, but no angels will be landing. The shop will be offer only world-renowned Victoria’s Secrets cosmetics, skin-care products, perfumes and accessories, but not their famous lingerie. Sorry guys.
While this is good news for female consumers, it is a disaster for independent, online importers of these previously unavailable brands, Bangkok Post and Inside Retail Asia reported.
