Thailand scores F-Fan in English

An assessment of English-language ability throughout Southeast Asia has placed Thai workers dead last among its neighboring countries. Singaporean employees sat at the top of JobStreet.com’s English Language Assessment, which assigned scores to more than 1.5 million people from Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
Singaporeans scored an average 81 percent, Filipinos averaged 73 percent and Indonesians came in at 59 percent. Thailand? At the bottom with 55 percent.
The sample population consisted of employees at all levels, from entry-level positions to senior managers. Those with more experience earned higher scores.
Thai workers in the categories of News/Editorial, Marketing/Business Development and Secretarial/Executive & Personal Assistant earned the highest average scores, The Nation reported.
