Nine Inch Nails to headline Silver Lake Music Festival

It’s a long way from Cleveland, Ohio and 1989’s Pretty Hate Machine, but Trent Reznor is coming to Pattaya next year to headline the 2014 Silver Lake Music Festival.

Reznor’s Nine Inch Nails will headline the return of the fest, which is returning after a two-year hiatus, and will be  joined by The Used, Foals and many rocking local acts.

After popularizing industrial music in the early 1990s, Reznor’s wielded great influence in the music world. Rolling Stone cited NiN as one of the 100 greatest artists of all time.

Balancing out the goth-grunge of NiN is a band the millennial generation will remember listening to in high school. The Used, an American pop-punk band that reached prominence in the early 2000s will be joining the festival along with Taking Back Sunday from NYC’s neighboring Long Island.

While a majority of the inbound talent seems to be coming from the United States, England’s rising indie act Foals will be joining Silver Lake after achieving worldwide fame with their latest album Holy Fire. And California’s Rebelution brings reggae vibes suited for the Tropical climate.

An impressive selection of Thailand’s top talent will be sharing the stage with international artists. Metal-rockers Blackhead will most certainly rock, along with Slot Machine, a favorite of the indie crowd. Scrubb, ETC, Better Weather, Singto Numchok and Yamin will also be in attendance.

The festival starts March 1.
