After occupying or surrounding eight government ministries in two days, antigovernment demonstrators are moving on six more today.
Fanning out from their bases around Democracy Monument, spokesman Sathit Wongnongtoey said protesters will march along three routes to the ministries of Labour; Social Development and Human Security; Industry and Information and Communication Technology; Public Health and Commerce.
Sathit should wait for instructions to enter the buildings and return to Ratchadamnoen Avenue this evening for an “important announcement,” Bangkok Post reported.
Since Monday, they’ve seized or surrounded the Budget Bureau and Public Relations Department, as well as the Finance, Foreign, Agriculture, Tourism, Transport and Interior ministries.
Elsewhere, hundreds marched from Silom Road to police headquarters on Sukhumvit Road to pressure police to support their cause, The Nation reported.
