Protesters surround special investigations unit

UPDATE: DSI workers evacuated, BBC reported.

After marching approximately 30 kilometers, protesters have reached the headquarters of a Thai special investigations agency similar to the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Led by protester-in-chief, former Deputy Prime Minister and MP Suthep Thaugsuban, the crowd has yet to enter the Department of Special Investigations, a Justice Ministry agency similar in function to the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, located in the bureaucratic center of Chaeng Wattana. The building is reportedly still occupied by police. Suthep is expected to speak momentarily.
