A delightful mess of discoveries await in odd Prachautit shopping mall

The scattered books, the half-empty bottle of green tea and the new toaster in the torn-up box. All are for sale, along with everything – and nearly anything – else in a shopping mall hidden on Soi Pracha Utit 33 in Rat Burana district.

Anyone walking by “Shanghai Free Trade” might mistaken it to be a small, local retailer in a typical Bangkok neighborhood, but inside the place reaches six stories high, all stuff with the cluttered objects you won’t even know you needed until you spot them.

Even though most products might not be in the best condition, which is to say you might find one shoe lying around or a broken mirror with a cool, vintage frame, just keep in mind that everything in the building is for sale, and as the sign in front of the store suggests, the prices are “so shockingly cheap.”

The photos of this amazing shopping mall were shared by a Pantip user “Parn,” who claimed her first impression when walking into the old, neglected shopping mall was that the place had possibly been intruded and raided in a zombie apocalypse.

If you’re up for a bizarre shopping experience or playing treasure-hunt with your date, Shanghai Free Trade might be a good place to spend a few hours in.
