Falling container crushes van, kills driver in Rangsit

A shipping container fell from a truck on Rangsit tollway and crushed a public van parked opposite from Future Park Rangsit, killing the 19-year-old driver at around 3pm today.

Pratunam Chulalongkorn police reported that a container transporting wood beams on Rangsit tollway fell off the truck onto Paholyothin road as the vehicle went around the curve. Nattapong Timtongmak, the driver of the crushed vehicle was killed on the road. There were no passengers in the van.

Authorities are removing the container and the van off the road and advise citizens to avoid the route, Thairath reported.
