Souls of Bangkok: Max the Street Magician

SOULS OF BANGKOK — He felt unappreciated and unnoticed as a child to all but his parents. Then he learned magic and began plying his craft in the streets of Bangkok. “Street magic fulfills me, as people recognize me wherever I go,” he said.  Now, styled as “Max the Magic Man,” he entertains customers at his mother’s Rad-na noodle shop on Soi Rambuttri, near the backpacker mecca of Khao Sarn Road.

Souls of Bangkok is a Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Bangkok home.
