SOULS OF BANGKOK — He felt unappreciated and unnoticed as a child to all but his parents. Then he learned magic and began plying his craft in the streets of Bangkok. “Street magic fulfills me, as people recognize me wherever I go,” he said. Now, styled as “Max the Magic Man,” he entertains customers at his mother’s Rad-na noodle shop on Soi Rambuttri, near the backpacker mecca of Khao Sarn Road.
