Grenades explode at Government Complex, no injuries

The M79 grenade launcher was introduced during the American-Vietnamese war and today is frequently used in clandestine attacks in Thailand.

Protesters have begun to close some of their locations to consolidate their numbers downtown, but a group still remaining outside of Bangkok at the Chaeng Wattana Government Complex came under attack last night.

Two grenades from M79 launchers exploded at the site last night, but no one was injured.

M79 grenades exploded at a Lat Phrao protest site last week, which contributed to the decision to close the stage there and at Victory Monument, Bangkok Post reported.
