Playing with their food: MK beats its veggies, meat in ‘viral’ video

You know that song that plays in MK restaurants as a sign for their employees to go through the motions of a synchronized dance? The one that’s sort of fun to children and leaves adults feeling a little embarrassed for the workers?

A video of that song reimagined by the restaurant chain as a synthy, experimental remix has received a fair 44,000 views since it was posted Tuesday. In the video, a group of indiepop-looking hipsters mic up meatballs, tofu, vegetables and other suki essentials to literally play with their food.

Like most corporate attempts at “creating viral content,” the entire thing looks rather staged.

The “artists” are neither introduced nor credited in the video. So we gotta leave it for you to judge whether the sounds really come from meatballs or not.
