Bangkok shutdown is over, Suthep announces

After almost two months, anti-government protest leader declared Friday night that the Bangkok Shutdown is now over.

Hours after reversing his position and signaling that he was receptive to talks with the administration of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban announced efforts to disrupt to the city would end Sunday. All protest sites would close except for Lumpini Park, he said.
