After a 21-year-old television sweetheart broke down in a 10-minute video log yesterday, her poured-out heart has been shared thousands of times and inspired an online witch hunt.
Heartbroken and angry over her boyfriend’s lies and cheating, Focus Jeerakul went to the public to air her dirty laundry, telling her sordid tale of secret love with a hot new lakorn star who refused to publicly acknowledge her.
“This is a message from a woman who gave everything up to her boyfriend,” Focus said in the Socialcam video, “I had a boyfriend whom I started dating for over a year ago. I’m the kind of girl who tells the public about who I date, but my ex-boyfriend did everything to conceal our relationship.”
Although Focus didn’t name a name, she left clear hints for fans to figure it out.
“Every time he gives an interview, he never respected me,” she said of the man she described as a new face on television. “He always says he’s single and love isn’t important for him. The last message he said to the reporters that stunned me was that love brings his life down. So, am I just a burden in his life?”
Netizens have criticized Tanin “Bomb” Manulsin after they identified him as the villainous ex-boyfriend described in a video confession by lakorn sweetheart Focus Jeerakul.
And just like that, netizens fired off a Google search to discover the epic quote associated with a 23-year-old actor whose career whose career just kicked off last year with an appearance in Suparburoot Jutathep, which aired on Channel 3 last summer.
Fans fingered Tanin “Bomb” Manulsin after finding he used similar language in a Channel 3 interview posted to YouTube 10 days ago.
In her video, Focus says the ex promised to reveal their relationship to the public after his lakorn fever died down but never did so.
“There was a moment we held hands in public, and when people looked at us, he suddenly let go of my hand,” she said. “I felt horrible as if I was a bad person or embarrassing him.”
Focus continued to say she was angry to find out that when the ex wasn’t holding her hand, he was cheating on her.
The video diary has had the effect – intended or otherwise – of bringing wide condemnation of Tanin online and great sympathy for Focus, who’s being perceived as the sweet innocent of a dishonest love triangle.
Focus was best known for her role as the dream girl in Fan Chan, the story of a man who has a flashback of his puppy love during childhood while he is driving back to his hometown.
