Bomb Tanin admits to being secret ex-boyfriend of Focus’ love scandal rant

The man identified by netizens as the subject of a recent teary, video blog rant by television sweetheart Focus Jeerakul has confessed he is indeed the ex-boyfriend in question.

Responding to a wave of criticism, Tanin “Bomb” Manoonsilp admitted to the Daily News he is indeed the secret boyfriend Focus all but named in the weepy, 8-minute video which has taken over all discussion on the Thai internet.

“I have watched the video, but I didn’t finish it. It’s true that I dated Focus, but right now I’m not really sure if we’re still together. This is just between the two of us,” Tanin said.

Sure, just between the two of them and every Thai who’s checked Facebook since yesterday.

Tanin, made famous by last year’s lakorn series “Suparburoot Jutathep,” blamed his carelessness on youth and sudden fame.

“I’m just like other teenagers,” the 23-year-old said. “Right now, I can’t explain anything much. I’ve just finished work and I haven’t thought about calling her. I have to apologize to the press that I concealed our relationship. I’m a newbie in the industry, and sometimes I don’t think things through.”

Despite his apologies – to the press – Tanin denied having an affair with another woman.

“It wasn’t cheating,” he said. “I didn’t date Focus and another woman at the same time. A lot happened between Focus and me. Let me say I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for all of this to happen.”

The love scandal of Focus and Tanin has flooded all online platforms since Sunday night, with many netizens siding with Focus’ tale of romantic negligence.

In her video blog, Focus didn’t mention a name but left clear hints for viewers to quickly identify the actor, who was crowned the Most Talked-About Actor by MThai.com last week, by identifiying a specific quote he made in a a recent interview.

Asked just what he meant by the emo quote, “Love brings my life down,” Tanin took the opportunity to both retreat into humility and plug his new lakorn series

“I meant I did have a romantic time, but my acting skill is still bad,” he said.” “Many fans like my new lakorn ‘Cubic,’ but many hate my acting. I need to work on that.”

No that doesn’t make much sense and seems nothing more than a lame way to capitalize on the negative attention, but we’re going to forever remember Bomb for “Love brings my life down.” At least so long as “forever” takes about two days.
