Pattaya travel agent IDs Iranian who bought impostors’ tickets

As the search continues for missing flight MH370, attention has focused on two passengers who boarded the plane using passports stolen in Phuket and tickets purchased Thursday in Pattaya.

Now the man who bought those tickets has been identified by the travel agent who sold them.

The owner of the Pattaya travel agency, Benjaporn Krutnait, has came forward to identify the man who booked the flights as “Mr Ali,” an Iranian business contact she’d known for some time.

She said the man had booked travel through her regularly during the past three years.

Benjaporn said Mr. Ali had not specified the Kuala Lumpur-Beijing route but in fact only asked for the lowest fares to get to Europe, Financial Times reported.
