Election do-overs have been scheduled for next month.
More than two months after protesters disrupted polls throughout Bangkok and the south of Thailand, the Eleciton Commission has chosen two days bookending the Songkran festival – April 5 and 27.
On April 5 polls will open in Bangkok and the southern provinces of Pattani, Narathiwat, Yala, and Prachuap Kiri Khan.
Voters in Chumphon, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phuket, Satun, Phangnga and Ranong provinces will have their day April 27.
The commission rejected the idea of combining elections with the March 30 Senate vote, Bangkok Post reported.
