Taxi complaints increase, nearly 10,000 drivers fined

More than 10,000 complaints have been filed against Bangkok taxi drivers from October through last month.

Most of those complaints? More than 4,000 complained a driver refused to take them somewhere. Almost 1,200 complaints were filed over reckless driving, while about 1,100 said their driver didn’t take them where they wanted to go. About 900 passengers complained their drivers did not use the meter.

The Department of Land Transport said 9,900 drivers have been fined THB1,000 each while the rest are still being investigated, NNT reported.
