Did school principal push marching band to beg Ichitan for money?

In need of cash to compete on two continents, a Sattri Witthaya 2 school band camped out in Thonglor last month and “begged” Ichitan’s CEO into paying millions.

As the online community digs up dirt and condemns the band’s method, a video has surfaced alleging the school’s principal was behind it all.

The description of the 20-minute audio clip titled “Beggars” claims it is a recording of discussion between school faculty and students. It was posted last night on the Facebook page Drama-Addict.

“They have a business in Thonglor. We’re gonna be there and kneel. Our story will definitely reach Tan,” one student says.

“Don’t ever tell the press that your principal is behind this though. You have to say you need help from a generous man,” a man’s voice says of the effort to get money from Tan Passakornatee. The clip claims the voice belongs to the school principal.

“You have to say you want it by 9am in the next day,” another alleged female teacher adds.

The video has been going viral and reached almost 200,000 views in less than 24 hours.

As of now, there is no evidence indicating whether the clip is real. Previously, the school has promised to hold a press conference to answer questions when the band comes back from their competition in the Netherlands.
