As Bangkok’s heat this week hovers somewhere between horrible and kill-me-now, imagine wearing a coat of thick fur and being forced to sit under the sun all day.
Because zoo animals can’t slip into a mall or movie to escape the heat, the staff at Khao Keaw Open Zoo handed out homemade popsicles yesterday.
Photos and videos of monkeys and bears enjoying the icy treats now delight the internet and can be enjoyed without risking heat stroke or a slightly darker skin color.
Don’t worry, they weren’t fed 7-Eleven desserts or Otter Pops. The treats were mixed from fruits such as apples, oranges, watermelon, and corn; with colored syrup added. Apparently a nice bloody red is best for attracting their interest, Daily News reported.
