Police pin Homchong family execution on younger son

For the second time in a month, a family was found executed inside their suburban home, leaving one surviving son with a shaky alibi.

And once again, police now believe the surviving family member, in this case 23-year-old Kittinant Homchong, was responsible for the violence.

Homchong’s mother, father and older brother were all found with gunshot wounds to the head last Thursday in their Bang Khae district home. Homchong has confessed to hiring three gunmen to kill his family for their inheritance, police said. Homchong had been unemployed and unhappy with his family’s disapproval of his wayward life, police said, and sought to claim about an inheritance of about THB100 million.

Last month Akarawat Soraprom, 19, was arrested on suspicion of slaughtering his parents and younger brother in Pathum Thani after initially claiming he slept through the deaths and blaming his brother.
