Go beyond silk at Museum Siam to find there’s silk there too

Silk is stronger than iron, can repair broken bones and can be made into food, drinks and ice-cream. Yep, those are some science facts. Here’s another: After collecting their wonderful silk, humans kill all the silk worms by throwing them in boiling water.

Silk products and innovations from silk designers and experts are featured at the Beyond Silk exhibition running now through the end of June at Museum Siam

For those who are enthusiastic doers, the event also includes some DIY and food workshops.

Admission is free. Museum Siam is open all week except on Mondays.
