Thai Airways flight makes emergency return to Suvarnabhumi

A Thai Airways jet was forced yesterday to return to Suvarnabhumi Airport for an emergency landing shortly after takeoff due to a “technical glitch.”

Thai Airways Flight TG281 was forced to return to Suvarnabhumi International Airport while en route to Ko Samui. According to initial reports, the emergency landing was due to technical difficulties after the pilot had discovered problems in the landing gear.

No one was injured and the passengers were rerouted to their destination on other flights, NNT reported.

Thai, which recently painted over a crashed plane’s logo in a ham-handed attempt to “hide” the plane’s identity, was tight-lipped about the cause of the problem, offering no further details. According to records online, Flight TG281 was on a Boeing 737-400.
