The grieving mother of a teen boy electrocuted to death at a Songkran foam party is demanding justice for her son.

Chomwalai Yusawat, 45, demanded a complete investigation and said she will pursue legal action against anyone responsible for the death of her 14-year-old son over the weekend in Pichit province.

Peechakorn Boonpu died soon after reportedly receiving a massive shock from a foam machine near to where he was splashing water with other youths. Another teen was seriously injured.

Chomwalai said organizers were responsible for the safety of children at the event like her son, who was active on the provincial Taekwondo team and wanted to be a doctor.

Pichit city Mayor Prakasit Uwawes expressed regret and visited the hospital.

Saksit Narapisut, chief of Pichit city police, said the investigation is continuing and charges could be filed, Bangkok Post reported.
