Brawl between protest guards led to volunteer’s murder in Lumpini Park

A protest guard shot to death Tuesday in Lumpini Park was the victim of an internal dispute, according to police.

An argument among protest guards led to Jirayuth Senanarong, a 40-year-old volunteer, being shot in the chest just before 2am when he tried to break up a , according to police Lt. gen. Suebsak Pansura of the Metropolitan Police.

According to Khaosod, protest security at the park have refused to let police enter the park to investigate Jirayuth’s murder.
