Grand Theft Wristwatch: ‘Tourists’ get away with 10 million-baht watch heist

Authorities are searching for three thieves disguised as tourists who allegedly stole a one-of-a-kind Montblanc watch from Gaysorn Plaza on Tuesday.

Three Chinese-speaking men came into the Montblanc shop at Gaysorn Plaza, investigators said, and asked to take a look at the Villeret 1858 Tourbillon Bi-Cylindrique, which costs more than THB10 million.

As two men kept the sales staff busy, one of them walked behind the counter and snatched the expensive watch before suddenly leaving with the group and escaping in a taxi without the sales staff knowing, Kapook reported.

The Tourbillon Bi-Cylindrique is a strictly limited series of eight wristwatches. Only one is sold in Thailand
