Norwegian man survives jumping from hotel’s second floor

Pattaya authorities reported a Norwegian man survived jumping off the second floor of his hotel on Sunday but sustained serious injuries.

Let’s see. Double the height, take the square root, divide by gravity … right – 1.11 seconds is not even enough time to scream or far enough to do more than break some bones, fortunately.

A 52-year-old guest of the Silver Sand Hotel was found lying on the ground in a semi-conscious state with leg, arm and head injuries.

The man had been staying at the hotel alone for almost three weeks, according to hotel staff.  He reportedly went out every night and kept to himself.

Nanglat, the wife of a friend of the man, told police that the Norwegian man drank heavily and when drunk, he would become paranoid that someone wanted to kill him, Khaosod and Pattaya One reported.
