Sorayuth sends soap star to awkwardly interview Spider-Man 2 cast

Jamie Foxx and Andrew Garfield speak Thai while Emma Stone says she likes Bangkok for its wilderness.

Thailand’s own heartbreaking soap star, Tanin “Bomb” Manoonslip, was dispatched by none other than journalistic pillar Sorayuth Suthassanachinda to interview the cast of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” at a promotional appearance in Singapore last week.

During four minutes of awkward interview with the cast, Bomb wasted no time before turning to the old standby: Get the Hollywood stars to speak the exotic Thai language.

“Sawad-dee Krab. Pom rak puak khun,” Foxx says at 1:57.

At least it seems they were kind enough to allow Foxx a few takes, as his Thai accent sounds quite clear and precise, despite just learned his first words in the language.

Meanwhile, Spider Man actor Andrew Garfield was given a script to read from in Thai, giving a greeting to Morning News and calling out Sorayuth’s name out loud.

This did great service to the anchor’s already ample ego, who then excitedly exclaimed: “Spider Man just called me!”

When it came to the amazingly beautiful Emma Stone, the Thai actor just expressed his love for her and asked about her experience in Thailand.

“I really liked it a lot. Bangkok is wild,” was all she said.

All in all, there’s not much we learned from this interview except Foxx seems pretty cool under pressure, and Stone’s perceptions are uncanny.

Oh, and Bomb Tanin should stick to dramas and breaking hearts.
