A single, helmeted robber opened fire in a gold shop on Rama II road and walked out with 80 gold necklaces.
According to the five female staff working at the Aurora Gold Shop located near a Tesco Lotus, the man walked into the shop at 8:30pm last night, only minutes before the shop was to close and fired a bullet at the display shelves. No one was reported injured.
The women panicked and ducked under the shelves while the man grabbed the necklaces – valued at THB800,000 – from behind the counter and escaped.
Police said they’ll track down the thief through CCTV footage, Khaosod reported.
