30,000 Thais diagnosed with H1N1

It’s time to break out the surgical masks and play doctor because the swine flu is back.

Spreading in the air of summer, 30,000 cases of H1N1 have been reported so far this year, revealed Dr. Sopon Mekthon of the Department of Disease Control on Wednesday.

Forty-five people nationwide have already died from the disease, and Ubon Ratchathani folks should be concerned as 1,265 patients there are diagnosed with the illness.

Sopon advised citizens to get a flu shot and go to a doctor immediately if flu symptoms are suspected, Sanook reported.
