Hot, hazy Bangkok could see thundershowers

Most parts north of Bangkok will be getting stormy in coming days while some wet weather could hit the hot, hazy capital.

A ridge of high pressure from China will ride into the northeast of Thailand tomorrow and cover the upper country by Wednesday. Summer thunderstorms, gusty winds and hail will be expected first over the northeast, then the north, the central and the east of Thailand. People should be prepared for potentially severe weather, NNT reported.

Tonight and tomorrow the Bangkok metropolitan and surrounding areas will remain hot and hazy, with 30 percent chance of showers and winds. The low tonight will be a sultry 27 degrees Celsius and the weekend high should be tomorrow at a quite miserable 38 degrees Celsius. Temperatures are projected to remain in the mid-to-high 30s well into May.
