The first of nearly 5,000 new, bilingual signs are being installed around Bangkok in preparation for ASEAN integration.

Three hundred emergency center signs along with 500 street signs, 30 direction signs, and 30 major traffic signs are being replaced, according to Bangkok’s Traffic and Transportation Department.

Next year the effort will expand to include nearly 5,000 signs giving directions to hospitals, police stations and communities throughout the capital, NNT reported.
