Thailand’s ‘first and biggest’ Comic Con hits Paragon Hall this weekend

Forget California and the big mess of entertainment marketing that is the San Diego Comic Con.

Bangkok’s own Comic Con, billed as the “first and biggest” could prove the event of the year for comic lovers, gamers, cosplayers, and Otaku of all types.

Thailand Comic Con runs tomorrow through Sunday at Royal Paragon Hall at Siam Paragon, where the crazed fanboys and fangirls can meet their Japanese idol groups such as Yumemiru Adolescence and Kamen Rider Girls.

Fans of sideburned, adamantium-forged mutants can join an X-Men movie Marathon and have a chance to meet Hollywood heartthrob Hugh Jackman in Singapore.

The three-day fair also includes collectibles, films, game competitions, cosplay contests, wrestling shows, concerts and more. The schedule is available online.
