Bangkok to raise tap water price

Bangkok is looking to increase the tap water price in late 2015.

Thanasak Wattanathanam, Governor of Metropolitan Waterworks Authority, says the organization is studying measures to increase the tap water price to THB10 per unit after collecting THB8.5 per unit for fifteen years.

He added that the revenues from the water bills will be invested to develop the water system and support the expansion of a new housing community in Bangkok, Spring News reported.
