Two teens were electrocuted to death by a lamp after getting of a swimming pool at a condominium on Sukhumvit Soi 22 last night.
The victims were Iranian and American foreign nationals, both 16.
According to the investigation, the deceased were swimming in the pool with some friends before the incident. As they got off the pool at around midnight, the boys unknowingly leaned against a lamp by the pool which sent an electrical jolt into their wet bodies.
Their friends called for the condo’s staff to cut the electricity, but it was too late.
Their bodies will be sent to Chulalongkorn Hospital for an autopsy while the lamp will be inspected for leakage, Daily News reported.
